Selten klang Liebeskummer so … einfach so geklungen. Tanzbar und fast schön fröhlich, hemmungslos, ansteckend, lass mal feiern. “Did I Say To Much” ist der neueste Song von The Beaches. Ein toller Song. Über eine Trennung. Wir lassen das Statement mal unübersetzt:
It’s a song about how tough it can be to navigate queer heartbreak. There are so many layers, the pressure to stay friends with your ex, the complications of open relationships, dating girls who have boyfriends. It touches on what it’s like to come out later in life, and how overwhelming it can all feel. This song, specifically, is about stepping into an open relationship with no expectations, only to fall hard. It’s about the intensity of sharing your deepest feelings, knowing it’s not built to last, and the heartbreak of realizing you might’ve said too much.
“Did I Say To Much” ist der nächste Song aus dem kommenden Album von The Beaches, das “No Hard Feelings” heißen und am 29. August erscheinen wird. Zuvor wurden schon “Last Girls At The Party“, “Takes One To Know One” und “Jocelyn” vorab veröffentlicht. Alle zusammen? Machen Lust auf die Platte, sorgen für Vorfreude und Spannung. Weil das einfach wundervolle Popsongs sind.
Schon vor dem Release der Platte kommen The Beaches nach Hamburg. Am 9. August spielen sie beim *Schanze Open Air im Musikpavillon Planten & Bloomen. Mit dabei ist Deer Anna, außerdem gibt es eine Lesung von Rike van Kleef.
