Die letzte Platte hieß „Warriors“, kam bereits 2017 und war voll von feinstem Punkrock, voll mit Hits wie „Womanarchist„. Da ist die Freue natürlich groß, dass der Vierer jetzt mit neuem Material um die Ecke kommt. Am 19. Juni schon erscheint „The Ride“, beheimatet erneut auf Fat Wreck Chords, produziert von Johnny Carry und Fat Mike (NOFX). Noch besser: Mit „Simple Girl“ gibt es den ersten Song bereits zu hören.
Stacey Dee, Gitarristin und Sängerin von Bad Cop / Bad Cop, sagt dazu: „I wrote ‚Simple Girl‘ in response to what the man I’m seeing said to me when pausing our relationship…. ‚We both have complicated lives, the next person I’m going to be with is going to be simple.‘ It hurt and got me thinking. I decided then to make a declaration of everything I am and am proud to be.“
